Durmnik: A Juneteenth Celebration
I designed the official visual identity and event poster for Durmnik 2026, an annual Juneteenth celebration founded by James Beard Award winning chef Ricky Moore, owner of Saltbox Seafood Joint.
The goal was to create a vibrant, welcoming design that reflected the spirit of community, culture, and celebration that defines the event. I developed the logo, illustrated the artwork, and designed the promotional poster, creating a cohesive visual identity across the project. The typeface used in this design was not created by me.
The final artwork celebrates Durham's rich culture while capturing the joy, connection, and energy that make Durmnik a meaningful annual tradition.

I was commissioned by noissue to create a custom Juneteenth packaging collection featuring illustrated tissue paper and a coordinating sticker design.
The goal was to celebrate Juneteenth through vibrant, meaningful artwork that reflected themes of strength, culture, and joy while creating a memorable unboxing experience. I developed original illustrations and logo that translated seamlessly across both packaging pieces, resulting in a cohesive collection that honored the occasion while showcasing noissue's commitment to creative, sustainable packaging.
