Hi Hi, I’m Ana Latese!

(Ah-na La-Tease)

Hello!

Isn’t he cute?!

I’m a freelance illustrator and art teacher based in North Carolina, represented by The Bright Agency. I specialize in book publishing, editorial art, and visual storytelling, creating vibrant, joyful imagery inspired by color, imagination, and humor. Since 2020, I’ve worked with clients including The Washington Post, Penguin Random House, Hulu, and Scholastic, and have illustrated more than 15 books. I earned my BFA in Illustration from Jacksonville University in 2021.

Alongside my freelance illustration practice, I’m passionate about art education and mentorship. I’ve taught students from young children to the college level and believe art can help students build confidence, curiosity, and their own creative voice. I love bringing that same sense of experimentation and storytelling into the classroom.

Outside of client work and teaching, I share my creative process through YouTube and online content. When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me playing video games, enjoying tea at a local café, or taking long walks with my furry studio assistant, Charlie!
