The Washington Post Magazine

This illustration was in collaboration with the Washington Post Magazine specifically for Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. This day commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. As a Black artist, I wanted to emphasize to my community that we are strong, beautiful and in this together. Juneteenth is a moment to remember the journey of Black Americans, and it’s one that we must recognize as we continue to work to bring more positive changes for us.
